For those of you that have long-tracked a Proaction or Proactive skid, or have a Rage …. Have you added an extra set of idler wheels? If so, what size and where?
I long-tracked my Nytro this summer and I seem to be eating up hyfax like they were Skittles … no thanks to the low snow conditions, of course.
The hyfax wears really fast right in the mid-section where there are no wheels. The rest of it is fine. So I don't think it has to do with the size of the wheels. And I know I don’t have a problem with the track tension because I have extro-drivers, and run the track really loose.
So I think I can alleviate the problem by adding some wheels in the mid-section where there are none. But I’m not sure if they will clear the upper suspension components.
Anyone done this???? Pics would be nice too. Thanks.
