I got a 2004 rx1 with a 121" I put a m-10 in it for better ride, but now I'm thinking about trading that for a 2006 apex gt how does the apex's suspension compare to the m-10's better or about the same, also how does this electric adjustment work?

is there anything else I should know about on these apex gt's

thanks for any help.

It is night and day difference between the 2. My RX's are faster and I think handle better with updates I have done. the seat position on the Apex is hard on the tall riders (in the knees) and short people are bent forward to reach the bars.

I have done vast amounts of customization to both and each have their little problems that are easily solved. Up the sway bars to 13 mm and throw away the skis. The GT is a great ride but some larger riders (weight wise) complain about the stock spring in the rear.

must be individual preference, I'll be the first to say that I would not own the RX. I think there is no comparison of the RX to the newer Apex.

Same here and owned a 03 Rx-1 did ski`s front springs etc hated the suspension loved evreything else APexgt now and love it just changedd ski`s and big boy spring for this year and have 4200 miles and loved them all so pretty happy overall but would like to try the nytro for a day

I have ridden RX 1 and have ~5k miles on Apex I am tall 6 2 and big 270 it great and I love it. The foot wells are still deep so you are not crowded like on the early REV I can stretch out just fine.

I have never heard that stock RX 1 can out run the APEX - not that they are slow.

My impression is rider forward, fuel injection, years of subtle refinement has led to a sled worth trading up for.

My two cents

6'2 on an apex as well....I can go from the rider forward on the tank to sitting back and cruising.

My buddy had an apex and he was 6'6 he only had it a year so cant really say if he liked it or not.

I never said they were stock :die

the 03 has a stroked Apex motor 1100 cc piped, filter kit, injection controller, clutched with overdrive sheave................... the 05 is stock motor but same clutching as the 03 + piped and both will absolutely outrun "A STOCK" Apex or Attack and have done it many times.

There is no comparison.. I had a 04 Rx-warrior (which my brother now owns) it has a 13mm swaybar and tons of ski pressure, on the top end they are the same,, out of the hole, my apex is alot quickers..

as far as ride and and eros the apex has it all.. The M-10 might greatly ride better than it did stock but the handle bar position and seat hight on the apex is so much better and easier on the back..

Go apex.. .. you wont regret it..

I'll give an impression of the Apex for really tall riders once we have snow. I'm 7 foot and picking up a '06 Apex GT for this season. No sled is built for me but it has to be more comfortable than my Viper.

Came off a 05 RX and went to Apex. No comparison, and with mods like the RX it will eat most anything out there. It is definitely faster than the RX...and WAY more comfy without doubt.
At the 300 mile break in I saw 128 on the dream meter on a long pull. NEVER saw that on my RX and I had the EPC,jets clutched etc...
The RX was a rocket midrange, but a stock apex would take me off the line and top end...but not midrange (stabbing it at 40)

I'm faced with the same dilema. I'm keeping my RX for this year but I'm not sure what to do next year. The only advantage the Apex has is efi. I've got the seat, clutching, filters....etc. I run with or ahead of the 2 apexi that I ride with every weekend. I get the same mileage...my hand warmers work...and the rx is warmer. Hmm..it's really a tough decision. I'm going to be forced to buy an Apex just to stay current but man I really can't say there's alot to justify it.
