2010 Nytro XTX
Hey all
well i have sold my Rx warrior and am looking at getting a Nytro xtx
Just looking for a little information on what to look for/ watch for
when buying one.
Are there any differences between the 2009's and 2010's
Also i was wondering how these sleds were in the powder i do maybe 80% trail riding but i still love getting off trail and in the fresh stuff is this the sled for me?
thanks

I just bought a 2010 XTX last year but didn't get alot of seat time because i was away most of the winter. After the first ride i purchased a set of aggressive snow trackers, huge difference. I also raised the limiter strap two holes but thinking i may start over this year and try to set it up for more off trail riding. I'm also looking at installing a set of fox float 2 in the front along with a set of simmons gen 3 or c and a mtx's. The only trouble i had is what i noticed the other day when i had a quick look at the suspension. My front shock is leaking hydraulic fluid out of the clicker so lucky for me i'm going to get it in while still under warranty. Overall i love the sled, very powerful, fun but 610 lb wet weight is a bit much. If you get this stuck out by yourself your going to need a set of snowshoes to get you to the closest town. Also, if your looking at buying new from the dealer make sure you check it out really well before you leave the dealership with it. I later found that the coolant overflow tank was empty and the rad low. The chaincase oil didnt even show on the dipstick and the track wasn't properly tensioned. Again, all had nothing to do with the sled quality but being a mechanic myself i am very thorough. Good luck with your purchase.

As far as I know there is no difference between a 09 and 10 just color. Wider ski's help a lot in off trail, and a taller track is really nice but if you are mostly on trail, better leave it oem. the sled is great once you get it set up to your riding style, has something to be desired out of the box. Love to be able to ride standing up off trail, really feels natural. Enjoy your winter.

They have an upgraded shock valving on the 2010 over the 2009.
Just put on some simmons gen 3's and an oft relocater and your all set.

Thanks for the quick responses guys .
What is an "oft relocater" Another question with my warrior they were prown to overheating or well tripping the light so i had to add an extra heat exchanger . What are these sleds like ?
Looks like this is going to be the sled for me

Pretty much the same story. They get hot easily, and the sure fix is the MTX heat exchanger off the nytro mtx, mounted in the tunnel. Some have this problem, and others don't. So you might just wanna run it and see what happens.

You're looking at 100 mile range with the stock gas tank, if riding really aggressively. You can mount a gas can on the back of the tunnel, or get a 10 gallon Trailtank if you need more range.
