- 2007 Attak GT, 2023 Sidewinder L-TX GT EPS
I've been reading on this site for a couple of years and have learned a ton here -- I finally decided to register and join in on the conversation. I'm riding a 2007 Attak GT LTX that I bought as a leftover two years ago -- love the sled -- had the Big Boy spring installed by the dealer right off of the bat. I run about 325 lbs. all geared up, but I really need to do something with the clutching. The sled has no problem keeping up with the rest of the boys, but I'm forever getting beat off the line -- stock clutching just grabs to low in the RPM range to compensate for the extra weight I'm carrying. I've read just about all of the posts that I can find on the subject and everything I've read tells me that the Ulmer kit is the way to go, but I can't seem to find anyone who has the Stage 3 kit installed on their Attak. All of the posts seem to be about the Stage 2 kit. Has anyone out there installed the Stage 3 kit available for the Attak? If so, how do you feel about the performance of the kit? I'll be blunt -- I want surprise my buddies this year and blow them away right off of the line.
