looking for 06 apex seat cover +4 inches

Get the Mountain mod seat and be done with it! I have had Boss, Mountain mod seat and the OEM Apex mountain seat (firmer foam than the short apex). I would get the Mountain mod seat in a heartbeat Perferct height and very firm foam.

The new owner of Boss seat have have a thread over on Snowest that says they are making a new Apex seat, but now pictures or information yet.

Just drop my feet off at the local upholstery shop. . I'm adding at least 4 inches of foam and am going to try and keep it look close to factory as possible as I don't want it to look like a giant pillow I will keep everyone informed he is going to let me take it home and try it on before he makes the cover after he makes the foam for it first

Here is what we have fabed up so far.

4.5 inches of foam. Let me know what everyone thinks going to shave off about 2 inches in the very front by the gas tank.. looks to square

Going with flat black vinyl and a carbon fiber stripe down the side like you see in the picture

It takes a great deal of imagination to look past how large it is and realize that the stripe should break it up enough to make it not look stupid

I'm going to sleep on it for a day and wait for some responses to see what everyone thinks before I finalize the plans to have a cover made

The seating position is awesome and much more like that of the skidoo XP I do wish the foam was a little more firm, but that's what you get when you start stacking foam on top of foam, even if it is high density

But I kinda agree.. yes I do expect it to look a little gawdy because its alot bigger but I'm looking for input on the stripe and the size of the stripe

Mine is +2-3".....it came that way. The former owner was tall and lanky like me and had it done at an upholstery shop in Madison,Wi. It looks like it came that way from the factory, a very professional job. The seat with the 2" bar riser sure makes the sled fit me well. When I jump on a stock one I feel cramped.

In the front by the Gas tank I think you should taper it forward and angle it to fit up next to the tank, cutting it back like you have drawn makes it look too open . If you could go with a black cover with matching orange strip that would be cool. Great job!!
