Alright guys I did some searching on here and see that the '05 monos are pretty notorious for rusting and mine certainly fits in with the rest. I don't really want to shell out the loot for powedercoating and more or less just wanted to pretty it up a bit.
I found mention of Dupli-Color paint and Rust-oleum Silver Metallic #7271. Just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else had done anything different before I tackled this. Sand it by hand as good as possible and get at it? Same thing if I wanted to go after the a-arms?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know man....I would be affraid to paint everything and then have it go right back to what it looks like now in a couple few years....I just had Half Baked do my M10 before I install it in my sled and it looks awesome and they do quality work!!! It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it might be to have it done considering what you get!!! There is alot of time in just preping the parts for PC!!! If you haven't done so already, I would atleast hit Brian (welterracer) at Half Baked up for a quote just to see, you may be pleasantly surprised!!! Just my two cents....personally, I hate redoing things...I realize it is some more money up front, but it will last a heck of alot longer than paint!!! Plus...you can get creative with some cool color combos to compliment your sled!!! I have the black and yellow Warrior, so I had my rails and coil springs PCed black and the two arms PCed yellow!!! Looks freakin sweet!!!
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!!!!
