Has anyone drilled the arm and put grease zerk on these?

you mean drill into the socket? that's pretty much a guaranteed risk of hitting the ball and maring it. Then it will wear even faster.

You would do this with the ball joint out, before you put your new ones in . Seems to be thick enuf there that you wouldn't compromise the strength of the arm.

w/o the sled in front of me i might be forgetting? whats the point of squiring grease on the outside of the bearing. normally zerks feed inside out.

You are right , I was thinking of the last set I put in , it was 3 pieces like those that Grizz mentioned in a previous comment

If you greased these joints without having a boot to seal out dirt, the grease will hold the dirt and most likely wear the joint even faster. A dry film lubricant like the Dupont spray I mentioned would be best on an open joint.
