Anyone know where I can get a cheap gear bag other than eBay? And has anyone skinned their helmet and how did it turn out?

Don't know where to point you for a gear bag, but I can comment on the helmet skin. I have one that I bought last spring, used it all spring worked great, but this year I had to take it off, it would fill with snow. It's fine for the spring when the snow is settled but not early in the year.

I bought a goalie bag from a local hockey gear store that was on sale for $35. It holds everything including boots and helmet and gets kind of heavy when fully loaded but it's nice having everything in one bag.

Unless you need a gear bag right away, wait till the 1st weekend in November and drive down to the Snow-Show in Novi. It 's the size of about 3 football fields full of bargins galore on anything and everything to do with sledding.
If you can't wait there are a bunch here:

and a few discounted ones here:

Thanks for the replies. I ended up getting one off eBay after all. Pretty big and pretty cheap.
