I am looking for a sled for the wife, she isnt aggressive but likes to have fun, we mostly boondock. Her last sled was a 2002 MC600 136 and she liked that. I was looking at a Phazer, but am worried it might not have enough power ( I dont know how it would compare to her old cat) so I was thinking about a turbo phazer mtx. But how easy are they to ride (being a turbo) and how easy are they to adjust down, she doesnt want or need 140 horse, so I was thinking about 110 or so. I know someone will say just cause you have the power doesnt mean you have to use it, I know this, but it is more of a peace of mind if I could dial it down. Or is there a point where the turbo becomes useless if you go down to far. This option also works for me because then I have a decent back up sled, or one a friend could use. Anyways I am wanting some advice so thanks for all input.

Turbos cost a lot hands down, but it makes it a whole different sled. For the money that you would spend on a turbo, you could get her a different sled that will be just as fun for her, but as the old saying goes, " if the power is there, you'll use it" :D Also as far as boondocking goes, the phazer mtx is the best I've ever tried.

Well I can honestly tell you that riding our Phazers...I purchased two last season for my wife and I....is the most fun we have had on a snowmobile in years!. Granted you are not the fastest sled on the lake or trail and they do take some getting use to but I would never go back to my old sled again. I rode a zrt 800 yes good power but very hard to play with...as in boondocking ect.
The best way to describe a Phazer is a dirt bike on snow....really it is that easy to move around. We both love ours. I guess it is all in what kind of riding you want to do....but as far as power for climbing and playing I find it has enough.
