RX Warrior
Hi all, Im on the lookout for an ECP kit for an RX Warrior. Ive contacted Ulmer but unfortunately they no longer sell them. Any help is very much appreciated! thx

k+n still makes their filters and outerwears still makes the filter covers to stop snow ingestion. brother runs a set on his 04 rx war off trail mod. makes the intake really loud though.

I don't believe ECP or even Freddie is around anymore. Like Maim stated, K&N still sells their filters (PN# RU-2922) but the ECP kit was more than just filters and outerwears. They used a different Holtzman spring (less tension spring) and larger jets since you no longer had the same vacuum as you had with the stock air box. Additionally, guys like myself also created their own EVAC kit where they routed hoses from the filters to the stock crank case breather. One of the last things Freddie came out was the speed rings which were just aluminum rings you attached to the carbs and then the filters would attach to the speed rings.

Awesome!! Thx a ton for the k&n part#! Do you know the outerwear part # by chance?

When I purchased new K&N filters to replace my existing ones a few years ago, I also tried searching for the outerwears since one of mine had a hole worn thru and both had lost their elasticity on the ends that go over the filters to keep them in place but I was never able to find the ones that were meant to fit these oval shaped filters. They may still be out there but unfortunately, I do not have their part number. To elaborate on the other components, I dug out my box of RX-1 parts and found the Holtzman Engineering springs and Mikuni main jets. The Holtzman springs you'll swap out with the stock springs are the Green CV Springs 0-4000ft and the Mikuni main jets you'll swap out with the stock 135's are the 165 Main Jets.

In case you're interested in doing the EVAC kit, here are some pics of what others on here have done, myself included.

Super clean install Rob!! Thanks so much for that! You mentioned the green springs but from what I've read so far, The Holtzman silver springs are recommended along with the 165 mains. How was your sled with the green springs? I am running at sea level and did lookup all the springs on the Holtzman site. More digging for Outerwear part #'s lol Would you consider selling your springs and jets?

I'm not sure about the silver springs as I bought my filter kit directly from Freddie at ECP which came with the green CV springs, filters, and 165's. Prior to my last post, I wasn't sure which color I had used so that is why I went and grabbed the box with the stock components I took off and looked at the receipt from Holtzman Engineering. What's odd is that by judging by the chart that was included with my springs, we should be using red but green is what I have been using although I do recall reading about the silver but don't recall the context. Outside of removing one of my springs to confirm, I was just going by what my receipt stated. Although I don't ride the RX-1 as much as my other two Apex's, it has always ran strong with Freddie's setup and Supertuner primary and secondary clutch kit. Of course, I also geared up on the bottom tooth. Went from 39 to 40 but if you have reverse, it makes the gear a little more expensive than the non-reverse ones; left top gear stock.

on my brothers with the k+n's we ran the yellow holtzman springs and upped the main 2 sizes but have to confirm with kirkswim. as for the outerwears, i think i found them on their site and called to confirm that that was what i needed.

Do you ride at sea level? How is the throttle response? Thx

we run usually at less than 500' above sea level. throttle response is good and snappy with the clutching on the sled.
