I bought the rear view mirror kit for my apex but it didn't come with any instructions. This is the kit that bolts to the tops of the plastic side panels. I can figure out how they go together, but I was hoping for the instructions to have some type of template or otherwise way of locating the mirrors so I make sure I drill the holes in the right spots.
The place I bought them from is trying to get Yamaha to send them the instructions but not having luck. Anyone by chance have these lying around? For anyone who has installed these, do the instructions have any location information or did you just improvise? Thanks for any help anyone is able to provide.

It was a new kit drop shipped direct from Yamaha, but apparently they forgot to include the instructions. I appreciate the fast response in the off season. You guys rock!

I would return those mirrors and get the handelbar mount style you will find those to be useless as yoyu will have to contort your body to see anything thru them. three friends all bought them all three of them now have empty holes in their side panels due to removing them and getting diffrent style mirrors.

I've considered those but can't stand the look of them, these just look a lot sleeker to me. If I have to move a little to see them that's fine. I have a bv2s helmet because I have glasses, at times turning my head all the way around causes me to break my breath piece seal and then my glasses will fog, this the reason for the mirrors. Thanks for the advice though. Next season I'll post back what my impressions are.

Dont trust that the Yamaha template is the best location for the mirrors. Use duct tape and move around to find the best place.

I had these mirrors and you can't see much at all. Don't use them.
What I got was Polaris Tall Indy mirrors off Ebay for $50 and they work awesome. Mount on the side panels as well but they work great. I sold the Yami mirror kit on ebay.
I can post a pic of them mounted if you buy them.

Ok, you've peaked my interest and I haven't installed the yamaha's yet, put sled away in the spring before I got a chance to. Can you post a picture of your polaris tall indy mirrors? I'd really like to see how these look and where you mounted them. A close up shot and one from a distance back looking at the front of the sled would be awesome. Thanks!
