I'm trying to confert my wife and get her onto a Yamaha (she has a skidoo, that has been a great sled). Can anyone jump in here with any problems that the 2010 Rs Vector Gt are proned to. The dealer has assured me they fixed the ski -darting problem with the new style ski's, if so do they actually work. Any feed-back here is appreciated

I'm curious on hearing how this new ski works as well.
Maybe post the same question in the General section, might get more info there?

dont think they had new skis on the 2010,the 2011 apex has the new skis, all you need are sno trackers to fix the darting issue, ltx version ride better than the shorty,my 2 cent

They didn't fix the darting issue but all you need to do is buy a pair of snowtrackers and put them on the skis and you will have fixed it. Great sled.

Not to hijack but what do you recommend for snowtrackers? Extreme or trail touring? Sled is 09 Vector ltx gt and will be driven by my girlfriend.

The darting issue is not really that hard to fix! Everyone talks about skis, carbides, shims..all you need to do it adjust the suspension and it's a different sled!
I have an 08 and out of the box it darted like everyone warned me of. After the initial suspension break in I started adjusting to suit my riding style, I added more transfer to the rear and the darting is all but gone. For the front I left everything alone and just dial in the clickers for different trails. On nice groomed trails I set the clickers at 3 or 4 clicks on the soft side, when the trail gets rough I turn 5 or 6 clicks toward the hard setting. These things work, you really do need to take an afternoon and test.
I will add that the only reason I added the 6.9 Pilot's was because I put a set on my Nytro for better off trail flotation and I liked them so much I put a set on the Vector too! These sleds really need the wider skis if you plan to ride in anything other than groomed trails!
