I am grinding my gears trying to decide whether to invest more money into my turbo Apex by replacing shocks track and rear suspension or should I just sell it and move over to a new Nytro and start again I'm wondering what draw backs there will be if any? I currently have a 2006 Apex with a Boondocker gt-25 kit in it. I am considering trying an Mc Xpress turbo on the new Nytro, just looking for ideas

Thanks for any input

:yam:

Is that alpine mounted on the tunnel? I am just curious and what range of power can I run with a boost controller?

So everyones advice is to switch from Apex to Nytro? Why? Because follow the hype?
I've read many interessting post's last year Apex vs Nytro and the conclusion i make is:
1. Not everyone is satisfied with the switch to Nytro, try one before you buy it.
2. With same mods (same tracklength a.s.o) the Nytro weights the same as Apex, according to post's on forums.
3. With no mods the Apex beats the Nytro in bottomless powder, it's heavier then the Nytro but the track's lifting surface and better running boards overrides that, abound.

Both is very nice sleds, what i say is that many do the switch because some sort of a hype, i belive that a Nytro is better choice if you are looking for a more agile sled (because of the length of sled and track) and if you know what you buy the chance for you to be satisfied is a lot greater.

I had apex turbos I built a turbo nytro last season I sold it now I have apex turbos again for me I like the apex with 4cyls, on long pulls say good-bye to nytros

Gotta have a inline 4 turboed, nothing like it out there.

IMO, it would not be worth the money (loss) to get a Nytro. they do handle better than the Apex's when boondocking but it wouldn't be worth the expense. Unfortunately, I have found that used turbo sleds do not hold their value as well as I think they should, especially if you have really customized it. You need to find just the right guy who wants exactly what you have to recover anything close to what you have invested. plus, the t-Apex has more hp potential than the Nytro. With all that said I wouldn't trade my Nytro for an Apex (if that makes any sense?) I ride a t-nytro and my brother has a t-apex, I ride both. The point I am trying to make is that I would not trade, or sell a t-apex just to get a t-nytro unless I could get the majority of the money invested out opf the t-apex.

Well i did love my Rx1 turbo and my Apex. But the frist winter on a stock Nytro i did not touch my Apex..... For what i do (ditch, holes, jumping drive ways, tight trails and alittle drag racing 1000foot or less) The Nytro is a much much better sled! It is just down right FUN again!! Now that i have a Super charger on it. I think i am going to be in Heaven!!! HA HA HA  ;)! One more note 3 friends had Apexs, all of them sold them this year and all bought Nytros. After riding mine...... for the riding we do!!! One thing the Apex is built better for sure..... Yamaha cut alot of weight...

Skydog P.S. After getting back on the Apex after riding the Nytro for a year NO WAY!! Feels like a school bus with 6 flat tires!! If all you do is flat roads and lake the APEX would be king!

Skydog...this is priceless! I could not have said it better myself.

Maybe the Apex is faster but the Nytro is quicker, if that makes sense. (Handling and response)
