I snowchecked a 07 Apex Mountain and I am trying to figure out what kit to go with: boondockers, mc-xpress, alpine/powderlites or simons turbo kit. What does everyone have and what does everyone recommend. My buddy has a boondocker kit with the garrett 28 and bigger injectors and that thing flys, I just wonder if there are better kits.

I am running a powderlites/ Alpine kit on mine and I love the front mount. I would recomend either the Mc-xpress or the Alpine kit both work really well.

I hear the mcexpress kits this upcoming season year will maintain preset boost levels and compensate for elevation automatically . I would upgrade to the new controller if mine didn't run so perfectly. The elevations I ride at in Alaska (sea level up to 6000 ft ) are real agreeable with the mcexpress kit .I just leave it at 17 P.S.I. all the time.Couldn't be happier with it.

Don't see why not.

the boondocker kit hasnt been out as long as the other turbo kits. people are too weary to try something new. they want proven power.

I for one, so has member tuco, ridden with a boondocker side mount and it sure rips.

Wicked tim.If you here of anything let me know i would be interested to hear. thanks

I have a boondocker in the box just waiting to be installed. I like the location of the turbo and the programer seems to me like the way to go. Just my 2cents. :4STroke:

I like the idea of running a 28 turbo and bigger injectors and being able control it with that box. I have not heard much about it, so I am just a little scared to drop $5k+ on it and not know if it works just as good or better then the other kits out there.

I am running a 28 rs on mine with controler at 20 lbs. plus of boost. Stock injectors, which are capable of running up to 30 lbs. and no problems! Once you have the conroler set it does all the work for you, no messing around.

So you are running 20 lbs with stock injectors? I thought after 15-16lbs you needed to run bigger injectors and also a second fuel pump?

Yes on the fuel pump No on the Injectors. They will handle 30 lbs. Talk to Dave at powderlites he will fill you in on what kin off boost you can run. If you are not sure about big boost get a knock sensore from Parker motor sports.

Cousin installed a Boondocker last season. Runs well, but has some heat issues. Hi temps stiffen up the steering bushings more than usual. They must have a fix for it by now I'm sure. I'm not against the Boondockers turbo, the extra heat is the only issue we've found so far. over 2000km.

Yup....they all have there pro's and cons..........Luckily,most of the apex turbo systems that I've seen have more pro's then cons.
