I have an 08 nytro rtx with fox floats on the front.
I'd Like to upgrade the front shocks to something beter than the floats, because I really don't like them. maybe ohlins? Just wondering if anyone had any sugestions for me? Maybe there's something out there thats good without breaking the bank. As far as the rear, I don't even know where to start?
Thanks for the help

Just get a revalve before you go buying new shocks, you will be amazed.

Call up Mike Carver at Carver Performance, one of the site sponsors.
He used to keep the Yamaha Sno-X sleds running and dialed in. He knows a thing or two.
Also good for you: Ohlins and Fox Floats are two of his specialties, so he can advise you on which you'd be better with. Revalving your old Floats to Float 2 specs, like he did with my Mt Viper's Floats, and putting extra air volume canisters will help you A LOT.....
Chances are even if you for some reason wanted to switch to Ohlins he'd still give you a progressive stack valving, rather than stock valving........
Call him. Remember: not all shocks, even if they are the same, are created equal.........

Exit shocks are nice as well
Also fox has an upgrade program to the Evol R's for 350 Evol R's are much better IMHO at least when i tested them during race season. rebound adjustment helps when increasing or decreasing air pressure

IMO adding a extra chamber (evol, nextech, or I really like the looks of the muffin works) to the float is a must. Without that you will always have a pressure spike with a float shock making it harsh. But clickers are a big bonus also like the evol X's having compression and rebound. That being said with running Evol X's last year and talking to experts I am going back to a coil spring shock this year.

Ended up sending my fox floats and the rear shocks to Schmidt Bros. to have them all revalved and add the rear spring upgrade.
They seem like good guys after talking to them a couple times on the phone. They also had a lot more knowledge of the Nytro and its suspension issues than any other suspension service company I called
Can't wait to get it back together and ride it
