Heard about garmin releasing the new “tread” GPS a few days ago for powersports but just seen they are partnering with cat. And the word in some of the cat forums are a new gauge with garmin in the works. I would assume integrated in the hopefully near future. I’m sure it would cross over to yamahas as well. It’s even for sale at Arctic cat parts places. Very exciting to those of us that have been wanting this! Notice it says ATAC test gauge on sled.

If Garmin is behind it it will be better than the rest for sure. Hope it has a chip so VV mapping can be used. I get ribbed all the time about mine but it has let me find way more new spots and trails than a map ever would on the fly. Can’t imagine going without one anymore. It’s about time!

My thought on the vvmapping for sure. Hands down the best mapping at least for my area. I’ll never ride without a gps. And I made the move to the drivesmart 61 and love it! Best I’ve had yet. Just wish the mount was better.

It will be accessory for existing sleds and replace the gauge on new sleds?

I just found the spec sheet. Looks like there is a SD card slot as well as internal memory. If they do integrate this into the cats/yamahas i would be on board. There are a lot of cool features on this.

Will be interesting to see if it's a new dash pod or stand alone.
The 2021 Garmin Zumo is the same as the Tread but without rider tracking, communication, pitch & roll, etc.
The Zumo, as a stand alone, is $399.00 I have one on the way.
Both Tread & Zumo will accept the VV Mapping card.
Garmin mapping will be far superior to Ride Command & BRP Go.
The Tread/Zumo display will be smaller than Polaris & Ski Doo.
That's why I chose the stand alone Zumo. All information, map & current display which I like, will be easy to view at a glance.
It Is great to see Yamaha & Arctic going the Garmin route, rather than attempting to re-create the wheel like Polaris & BRP.

Looking at the pictures, it appears to be available now as a add on.

I am surprised the NS-1 gauge doesn't get more love here on this forum. It looks like a great add on for not a ton of $$$$$$$$$

For that price I’ll stick to the garmin 61-VV mapping and ram mount

only other nice thing to see them integrate it right into it would have been inreach technology for emergency situations. but either way long overdueHeard about garmin releasing the new “tread” GPS a few days ago for powersports but just seen they are partnering with cat. I really like the NS1 system. They just can’t run vvmapping with the GPS. I guess some people have figured out how to lay maps over it with vvmapping but it’s not live GPS data.I am surprised the NS-1 gauge doesn't get more love here on this forum. I am surprised Garmin did not include the technology and offer an optional subscription. With the bluetooth link, you can send text messages directly from your cellphone. My brother in law had a bad accident three seasons ago, and Inreach got rescue there long before we could have gotten them in any other way.only other nice thing to see them integrate it right into it would have been inreach technology for emergency situations. but either way long overdue
