would running a very loose track in loose snow could slow down, i am running a very loose track and wen i jump off the trail it seam to slow right down did anybody else notice that

Ummm... if you are beating a trail rather than riding on a groomed one, you are going to slow down, tight or loose track there bud.
When your traction is lessened, you will spin more and your rate of forward motion will be reduced.
