I discovered a weird thing on my -04 Warrior yesterday, was cruising at 8000 rpm on hardpacked trail and the speedo was at 60. I held the throttle fixed but after about 1000 feet it seemed to loose little power and I had to give it some more throttle. I tried a short WOT and it instantly popped up to 10000 rpm and was pulling hard and when I then slowed down to 8000rpm it felt crisp again but after a short while it seemed to loose power again, not much.
When it lost power the first time it felt just like when the hyfax is getting burned so I stopped and checked but that wasn't the problem.

I was running @ 0 feet, the carbsettings are stock and cleaned, track is loose, the filter is firmly bolted to the carbs. The sled has gone 4500km and nothing is changed other than oil+filter.

Is it to lean or what? I have a bad MPG aswell, yesterday I initially was out to test the MPG and got only 14.5.

Can't be that, it was only -3 celsius.

I don't know if it shifts out or not, but should the result of shifting out be that it both loosing speed and rpm's with a constant throttle?

The Viper I had before the RX shifted out, but that resulted in lower rpm because I hade to use less throttle to keep the speed constant.

Is shifting out so different between 2smokers and 4strokers?

With my K&N filters, I have to keep my carb heaters on most of the time where as before I would'nt need them until -20 or so.

Just a guess.

I have no heatingshutoffs on the carbs so that not the problem and I have stock filters.

LB, I've tried other stock -04 Warriors and they don't have that unique shifting that I have. I still can figure why I have to give it more throttle after a while just to keep the speed constant, otherwise both the speed and rpms drops.

The clutches ar in stock positionm secondary at 3-2 and white spring. Both are cleaned and are smooth in movement.

I, shall check the carbs again.
A question, if one carb has a vacuumleak or is screwed in some other way, would that show off on the plugs?

I shall just for fun test to lift the needles one notch, perhaps is the air in north of Sweden to thick for standard jetting, especially at sealevel :tg:

I ran into something similar when I was using Holtzman Silver carbs springs. I went to yellow and the dead spot you refer to was gone.

Frosty

I have stock springs, whatever color they have. I've been thinking about green springs since I'm running mostly at sealevel.
At what level do you run at?

Finally I synced the carbs and got a new TPS cause the old one had some cracks in the plastic that holds the cables, it was covered by warranty so that was a good thing.

Adjusted the TPS to 0.74, it was at 0.666 before I changed it. Dunno whats better, anyone knows that?

I've just tested it for a short time, but it's running much smoother and when I give it WOT it goes like Road Runner on crack.

Perhaps my MPG is getting better, well see about that this weekend.
