Getting ready to load the sled up and I can't find my tether cord with the key. I have a spare ignition key, but not one for my killswitch. I bought the set from OFT Racing. Anyone know of a why to get a replacement? I see OFT sells a replacement tether, but does that come with the plastic clip too? Anything I can just get locally? I'm going nuts trying to find these things....

try an outboard motor dealer, the clip looks very similar to what they use.

Any cap from a sled with a tether cord should work.

The OFT version uses a Pro Armour tether that is a clip style rather then the cap style.

Well, after searching high and low I finally found them. I did do some searching and I talked with pro armor themselves. So just in case this ever happens to someone else in the future, I figured I would share. They (pro armor) do not sell a replacement tether/key alone. They make you buy a whole new discounted switch that comes with a key again for around $25. So, I think if someone were to lose their cord they would have these options we have all came up with.

1) get a Yamaha marine tether cord
2) buy a replacement from OFT, which is about $16
3) buy a whole new switch from Pro Armor at their special rate. That was about $25.
4) I'm sure a person could rig something they get from a hardware store too, for a time that you maybe lose while out on a trip.

I keep a few zip ties in the tool pouch for this reason. If I lose my tether clip at least I can put a zip tie around the stem so I can get back to the truck.

Has this part been tested??? I had my tether clip snap on me this past weekend. Scared the hell out of me and pissed me off. Luckily we had a zip tie to hold it in place. I am going to buy three or four of the tether clips if I can find them. Has anyone found any type of solution from a hardware store?
