Hey guys, I just bought a used 13 nytro xtx 1.75. I went remove a stubborn sticker on the shiny plastic piece that surrounds the headlight with some duck tape brand adhesive remover. The glue came right off but so did the finish! I lost the shine on the part that the chemical was put on, any way to get it back?

There is aproduct i saw on tv to restore the shine on plastics but i forgot the name... restore or something, i will look .. you could get it wraped because i have the same sled and the finish is poor . not a painted plastic

Grumpy Santa, I checked the wipe new and isnt that just for your black trim? Don't know if it would work on shiny plastic would it?

Here are some recent pictures of what I'm looking at. I'm a perfectionist and this drives me nuts, to some it may not even look bad. It does look worse in direct sunlight.

I've already waxed it.

The side shot is where I tried removing a sticker with some goo gone knock off and it took the shine right out. The nose shot is from the tarp rubbing.

best way to remove stickers is with a heat gun. to get the shine back i would call a professional and ask for tips.

Any painted surfaces you'll probably have to buff it out......

I have not tried it yet , but it could not hurt . i have the same nytro as you and its not painted just black plastic . i have a pickup silverado so i need to try it on mirrors and door handles and bumper trim to bring back the faded black plastic. check for a video on this product on the NET.

I would try on a scrap panel or in a hidden spot first to make sure it does not mess the finish ,,, good reviews , . or you get a full rap for it ..

decal kit hahaha I had a customer order a decal kit from "x" brand company and it was a full body kit. It was goin on a all black nytro! The decal kit was all black :drink: I even offered to help put it on after hours in our shop just to see what it looked like, had to see what black on black looked like. To my surprise it looked black haha however it had a really nice gloss look to it and turned out really good.

If you are not comfortable with buffing plastic I would suggest staying away form the 2000 grit idea. It does work great but there is a little skill needed or you will make it so much worse.

Well, I decided I would just paint the whole thing instead of try to bring the shine back. Used 2000 grit sand paper right away then painted then sanded again then painted then clear coat.
