Arctic Cat Z1 Turbo 128" Rear Suspension
128" Hacksaw 1" track.
Heated seat
I have had my 2005 RX1 since 2006. I have made many changes over the years to it and it is close to where I want it. It runs great, rides great and has several creature comforts like Rocks heaters, a heated seat, GPS and a Z1 turbo 128 rear suspension. I still want to add the Apex or WRX seat and a riser.
That being said I can't stop thinking about a Cat turbo. My friend has a 2010 Z1 Turbo with a 4 stage TD tune. I have spent some time on this sled and it bring big smiles every time. I love how it sets up high and rides awesome. Lets not forget the BOOST! On the 225 hp setting (the lowest setting) this sled is scary fast. The thing that scares me is will I regret buying it because of all the money it will cost me. The belts alone are scary at over $200.00 each.
Today my son and I went for a ride out of Grayling. It was warm and the trails were crap. My sled rode awesome and made what could of been a uwful day, to one that brought a smile to my face like it has so many times before. My son was riding a 2003 ZR 900 that I just finished rebuilding the motor and it was on it maiden voyage running with premix in the tank. My RX1 was out front but I am not sure it will stay there after the cat is broke in and tuned. It is now 6 hrs later and I can't get 2 stroke smoke out of my nose. I don't miss that at all, almost everyone in our group runs 4 stroke and I will never go back.
So when I am on my sled I am completley happy but off the sled my mind turns to the Turbo.
