A buddy of mine is building a rear mount low boost Apex. He scored some parts here and there over the last year as guys were selling them to up grade to bigger turbos and such. He asked me to build him an air box so I did. The air box fills the hole in the hood, and from air and snow hitting it, it should also slightly cool the charge. He is going to run 5 or 6 Lbs boost, he has a boondocker controller on it already to adjust the fuel and he has a 174" x 3" track. Should be a good ride. When the dust settles, he will have his turbo on for about $2,500. Should be a good ride. Here are some pics of the air box I made him.

Nice JOB!
Can tell you have some time in that, for sure...

Thanks guys, aluminum is a little hard to weld when you don't keep in practice, but hey, you can always grind and re weld it if you have to. I can't wait to pull the trigger on this set up myself. I know it won't have the pull of my 290Hp MCX kit, but it should still be a fun ride.

These pics are of the 1st one we did, it has a larger turbo. There are pics of the 2nd one in the Apex Mountain section under "2013 APEX MTX "Special Order". The 2nd one has a smaller turbo out of a '95 Eagle Talon. Spools up CRAZY Fast. Both sleds work really good.
