My '03 is enjoying being just off warranty, and is tossing every defect it can think of at me. This time its the low fuel warning light. A few days ago I was down to one bar on the fuel gauge and the warning light came on. I rode to the nearest gas station and fueled up, and the light went out. Within a few minutes of leaving the gas station the light came back on and will stay on for a while. It goes back out sometimes, but comes back on for no reason. That was a couple tanks of fuel ago and its still doing the same thing. Anyone have eny thoughts on this? Is it something common?

I would have to check it out in the manual, but it sounds like a bad senser, or something thats causing the senser to report bad information.
I'll get back to you as soon as I check it out.

I'd check the connector for moisture. A little water can do funny things in the wrong places.

This may sound nuts, but my Subaru would do that when I didn't tighten the gas cap tight enough after fueling. Some sensor type of thing.....
