Just rode all weekend with a viper and I was always roughly 5 litres more. 1 gallonish for my US friends.

The colder the fuel the more dense. More actual fuel you get.
Never seen this with sleds done before, but motorcycle MX & Sport bike teams keep their fuel in a freezer. This allows them to get more miles/laps per tank of fuel.
The colder the fuel the less air and moisture you get. The more fuel you get = the more miles per tank you recieve.

First ride, panned trails with 2 - 5" of fresh snow during ride. 55 miles and the fill up took 6.8 gallons. 8mpg
Second ride, most of it was on hard packed trails with an 1" of frozen meal on top, perfect!! 105 miles and fill up afterwards took 8.2 gallons. 12.8 mpg. Second ride saw a bunch of 105 but nothing faster than 114 on speedo!
My buddy tried the sled against his phone gps, no studs on very slippery trails, dangerous without st

Not studded but anyways at 110 on speedo he got about 105 on gps, some spinning for sure! Big difference having a speedo that is much closer to reality!

Oh did I make it sound like we were trying for speed. No way, I am still not doing WOT runs, it does have what seems like much more. Can't wait for another 150 miles .
