hey my brothers sr viper did the exact same thing idled at 800 -900 rpm, took the seat off disconnected the battery for 5min and right back to normal,has not done it again, did it with 150 kms on it.

I had a similar issue. If it was a vapor lock would it let the sled run fine off idle? During regular trail riding under throttle it seemed fine. Just when stopping it was an issue

Gosh I wouldn't think so ??????????????? If the vent tube is frozen you could check the gas cap for suction when unscrewing it. I had a motorcycle that did it but it ran good at idle and ran out of gas the faster I went. MM.
