So here is the deal, I got my a arms powdercoated and i ordered the lower ball joint kit from ulmers. I pressed one ball joint and sheeve out and when i did the other the ball split/spred the sheeve. So what the hell do i do now?? the sheeve is froze in the a arm and no idea how im going to try to press it out. Thinkin it might have to be cut? I got 7 monthes before i need it but man this makes me

If the ball popped out then it must have been close to failing anyway.Good you found out now rather than riding.Save the ball and cut the race out with a dremel and carbide. Two lines.Trying not to go all the way through. Then call here and fix them for good:

Simply take your time and slowly cut the race out. Then install the ball joint kit you already purchased from us.

I think between the powder coating and the heat from being in the oven is what made it stay in there.cannondale27 said:If the ball popped out then it must have been close to failing anyway.

Me thinks your supposed to remove them prior to powder coating...
For sure.Is a fibre material in the joint that would for sure burn out being powdercoated.
