Went on a snowmobile trip up north and blew the lower driveshaft bearing on the last day of the trip. the sled is at the 7,200 kms mark and the driveshaft bearing has never been replaced. I picked up a new bearing at the local dealer and plan on installing it this weekend. there are no visible leaks on the chaincase side, is it ok just to replace the drivesaft bearing only or should I replace the seal on the chaincase side as well. can anyone tell me if I should replace the jackshaft bearing as well at this mileage. I plan on replacing the jackshaft bearing this summer. what else should be looked at this mileage. The sled was brought to a local dealer this fall and they never mentioned replacing this bearing, kinda disappointing. good thing it happened on the last day of the trip less than 20 kms from the motel. It also took out the speedo cable but their is no damage to the tunnel. any help would be appreciated.

I would change the seal just because if it's no good then you'd have to take everything apart just to change it, I recently blew my jackshaft bearing and decided to buy all the bearings for the jackshaft and driveshaft, also bought all the seals just for piece of mind, everything came up to 300$ #$%&*
