Don't think it's gonna happen. AC/Yamaha dealer told a friend that the 10 ft clamshell would not hold a LTX or XTX. I have a 12 ft utility trailer and may have about a foot extra combining front and rear excess space.

NO Problem, I got my Viper XTX in my 10" clamshell. I just bungee snow flap forward toward track rails. Flap has nice horizontal groove to hold strap in place. LTX slightly shorter I guess than the XTX. Pull right up, I then pull cover down slow, so my hand fits between top and rear bumper. Then strap it down.

Have mine in a triton 10 but I'm planning an upgrade sooner than later. It fits but tight

XTX and LTX have the same chassis, nearly identical track length on the ground (within an inch or two). Are your ski's touching the front of the enclosure? A friends AC 137" Sno Pro would not fit in another friends 10' enclosed trailer, could not close the trailer with the front end tied down with the bars. He ended up using his 24 foot V nose instead.

Yes fits with 1" to spare, I had wood paneling on front inside of trailer, which I cut out. Skis touch front but all lines up with my quick latch hold downs. Didn't even need to adjust from my older 03 viper. Latch front with hold downs then strap rear bumper slightly with strap to floor. Like I said I bungee snow flap so it wont catch when opening top. I can take pics if needed.

hijack thread..... Who else noticed that you have a lot less space to clear you when in a clam shell or an stream lined enclosed trailer. I have to put my helmet on my tank to ride up in my Floe enclosed trailer. The Viper sits pretty high.

I know, I duck hard. I saw pictures years back on HCS about a guy that got scalped when he drove on clamshell trailer too fast and top came down. I almost threw up when I saw them.

My Dad has an XF 7000 137" and it fits in a 10 ft. Triton clamshell, but it's tight. He has an inch to the low windshield and you have to bungy cord the tail flap or put something over it because it will rub a little on the back. I think he will eventually get a new trailer because his is about 15 years old so he didn't want the trailer to limit his purchasing decision. I think a high windshield might cause you some problems especially with the older lower caps.

We have had a couple customers with medium windshields hit the top of the clamshell when closing. A LTX is a tight fit in a 10 footer.

the ltx and xtx will fit. However, it depends on the type of clamshell. I had an older style "Sled dock" with one straight angle from the front. This would allow my 151 RX1 to fit, however the windshield would hit on the viper. I swapped to a newer style dual angle version and they both fit fine.
