I just cant seem to get it any where close! Set my FRA lower than the recommend setup. And the damn thing just springs me off the seat! Takes stutter bumps great but the mid to large bumps are harsh. I have the cross over set light as well. Any thoughts?

OK, just calm down, been there, done that.

1st, how much do you weigh?
2nd, what shocks do you have?
3rd, what spring is on the rear? color?

I weigh about 175 without gear. I have the Olins with clicks, and I bought the skid used.Spring was painted black but after scratching of the paint I found it was once yellow. So I had it re-powder coated.

spring is correct for your weight. Ohlins shocks are correct if they are fresh, if not that is your main problem. Next, where the rear arm connects to the rails, there is a different plastic block for the Rx1. It is the block that slids back and forth maybe 1/2 an inch. It effects the transfer. You will need to call FAST to get the right block. If you don't have the set up book, you need it! You need set it up to the specs they reccomend, then adjust the FRA until you like it. Set rear shock to the softest and try it out.

Mine used to beat me off the seat also. It took the right spring and NEW Ohlins to finally get it right. It only took 2 seasons. It P(*$%&^ me off so bad. Until Tom and Doc told me about the springs and the shocks. After I changed them out and set it to factory specs, it was just a matter of FRA fine tunning. You need to set up soft until it bottoms out then stiffen it up a little bit at a time.

If you don't have the book, let me know, I will look in my garage tonight, maybe scan and email or fax the pages you need.

Sorry, I made a mistake, I got my sled back last night and went out and looked. My original rear spring (light weight) is black, the new spring (heavy weight) was yellow. So if you have the yellow spring, then it is way too stiff for a 175# rider.

I can sell you my black spring shipped for $25.00. I can include copies of my set up book if I can find it.

I have the setup manual. I had the olins redone, I will mess around with it a little more and I think I might take you up in the spring.
Thanks Jeff

If the sled in kicking you in the butt you need to add more rebound the reduce rebound speed of the skid. What kind of Ohlins do you have installed? If it is a PRC## something it has rebound adjustability. P=Precompression, R=Rebound dampening, C=Clicker type shock ##=Shock body widht in millimeters.

Careful with spring color. I have a yellow that is the 'standard' and a black that is the 'heavy' rear spring. I go 230 and I think the heavy was too stiff for me on the 136. I'm back to the standard spring, but not much snow to test with at the moment.

I talked to FAST and we went over a few things. I feels like it only travels about 3 inches and then the spring is rock hard. I might try the light rate spring and have the valve stack in the shocks checked!
