Does anyone know what rail length I need for my M7 skid to go from a 151 to 159. skid is in standard yamaha front mounting location.
Thanks

Assuming that you are mounting in an RX chassis...

I put a 153 M7 skid in my Vector and had to set the skid back 3 inches to accommodate a 162 track.

I just did a 141 M7 skid with a 153 track in the stock front holes. I believe that if you use the 153 skid in the stock front holes you have to do a 162 or mount that skid further forward which would be defeating the purpose. You maybe able to do with an old 151 1M skid to 159 track in the stock front holes. I think someone on here did one .

It does depend if yours is an 03-04 or if it is an 05 with the newer skid. The newer skid has different front mount locations and I am told that you do have to mount it back a little bit to get her to work. Good luck.

it is an 03 and presently has a 141 M7 skid which has been a great improvement. What has been peoples experiences been with rail extensions as opposed to replacing the rails on the skid?
Thanks

I just got my rail extensions for a 4 1/2" extension from Western Power Sports. They have a 4 1/2" or a 6" extension. I'm going from a 151" track to a 159" (159-151=8" divided by 2 = 4" extension required) track. I have a 141" M7 skid.

I'm still waiting on my new track to show up so I can try them out.

Frosty
