Looking at getting a manometer to setup my carbs.
I have read the psot from SUPERTUNER on doing the job, but I'm one that needs pics.
Anybody have pics on what lines to disconnect and how the tuner is connected?

Thanks, Mark

It is simple Mark. You connect line 1 with the first cylinder, line 2 to number 2 cylinder and so on. I consider cylinder number 1 the farthest to the left as you sit on the sled.

What ST said. You should be able to do it before the sled runs out of gas. Good luck.

tip

i found that buy adding a couple of pounds of air psi to the fuel tank via the vent hose it keeps the carb,s full. but i dont need to do this any more as i have installed an el fuel pump. this solved a lot of small things that i did not like. like affter doing carb cleaning or jet changeing just turn the key on and wait a few sec,s and it will fre up like ti was never apart and runing lean on top when the jetting was set rich and 1st start up of the year is now a turn key start.

Connect to the fitting's on the intake manifold in between the carb's and the head. 1 & 4 supply the vacuum to the fuel pumps. Go ahead and just disconnec these, You should have plenty of time to sync your carbs before the float bowl's run dry. If it starts to sound like it's running out of gas you can just reconect the lines on 1 & 4 for a minute or so. 2 & 3 just have plug's covering the nipples. Hope this help's

I think what he and I are interested in is exactly what lines from where on the carbs do you disconect to connect the adapters and lines so you can sync the carbs.

I will be getting my Motion Pro tool very soon so I can do mine and I was wondering the same thing.

there are nipples on the intake manifolds. cyls 2 and 3 are capped and 1 and 4 provide fuel pump vacuum. easy to spot

Or you could just add T's to the lines that run vaccuum to the fuel pumps.. That's what I did with my motion pro tool at the recommendation of my yamaha dealer. Works great.

thanks for all the replies. It sounds simple enough just wanted to make sure.
sxmax2-- you "T" 1 & 4 so that they stay connected to the fuel pump? This way take aslong as you want to set the carbs?

Blackjohn-- how did you know it was running lean, when rich?? Sorry I'm new to this four stroke.
