How much boost can the nytro stock rods and pistons handle?

From my research last year I found anything over 17lbs. of boost at sea level you are asking for trouble on a Nytro. I have over 700 miles running 91 non-ethanol @ 14.5lbs. of boost on trails at sea level with no problems.

With a Head shim?

I hope.

Head shim of course and factory studs.

That would be factory bolts.

I have a friend running a 2011 Nytro at 17#.he has a head shim and changed the timing, we are at about 800 ft. and he has 3000 miles on it running pump gas. Only problem he has had is the intercooler came apart at one of the welds last week. Quick re-weld and all is good. I run mine at 8-12# with my s/c and no head shim, or timing have about 3,200 trouble free miles so far.
