Well I finally got a chance to test out my 03 RX-1 on the grass. With the MBRP canister and Heavy Hitter clutch set-up all I can say is wow!!!!!!!!!!
The sound is to die for and if you really do lose some torque because of the Y pipe then I never noticed..It just plain rocks!..These Rx-1's have so much torque to begin with that 4-5% lose of torque really does'nt amount to much in my opinion.I'd be interested to see what the dyno says. I think with the MBRP canister the throttle response is crisper. And with the heavy hitter's set-up I got from here on the Mod. results post..The combo really woke this baby up for sure! The only sleds that were beating me in 500ft was a heavy moded up 700 polaris and the 800 Rev's..Not too shabby in my opinion..Thats just my 2 cents!

MBRP exhaust
RXONE,
I spoke to MBRP's comptroller concerning the non crossover issue which will rob your motor of low end torque, well you'll be glad to know that these pipes do have a crossover in them, infact here's the quote.
"The crossover pipe is cut and welded together, leaving a hole for the exhaust gases to crossover - Way back when we went to a couple of shows before we had the exhaust developed, we had a very pretty mock up - all shining bright and it had straight pipes. But that was only a mock up - not tested nor fit. For the info on the dyno that you are looking for, we pull right away at bottom end from 6000-7000 - staying with stock till 8200 - when we gain an extra 3 till 9300 - where we meet stock again until 9700. At that point we continue at 3-4 hp right through until dropping off at 10800"
I'm still waiting for mine , Cant Wait !!

That's great! I have mine, but am in the process of installing it. I stripped out head of the screws in the gas tank cover. The ones penetrating the tubing. Any suggestions to getting them out? Can't frickin' wait to hear it!

Re-Jet?
No I did'nt re-jet RXWonder..I checked my plugs after making acouple 500ft passes and there seems to be no problem at all..Temp that day was around 25 degrees...I'll check again once the normal riding season begins and post results..
