i am thinking of building a new exhaust for my sled. i will use the MCX stock downpipe and just go from the flange were it normally bolts to the muffler.
should i just angle the exhaust down and cut it off there, or would it be worthwhile to run it towards the back of the tunnel a little bit to help prevent some ice buildup by having the warm pipe there?
how will the noise compare to the 'stock' MCX muffler underload, i started the sled with the muffler off and it wasn't bad at idle/revving, but that doesn't tell me anything about the underload noise
would the extra weight of the pipe offset the savings in snow/ice buildup?
i had ice buildup at the back of the tunnel pretty bad a few times, but don't recall it being much of a problem for the most part.
what are your experiances/opinions?

the whole exhaust is going to be ceramic coated as well from the head to the tip.

hadn't even thought about the direction of travel and how the snow would get thrown up.

i am going to stick with the mcx exhaust for now, got enough on my plate with the sled and other projects right now. i am jus getting some ideas and see what people have to think about having exhaust right to the rear. i know i had ice build up pretty bad there last year a couple times and i wonder if other people did too, an exhaust to the back would help stop that build up.
