Why is it when you read social media or magazines they don't seem to put the Yamaha sleds in the correct comparison classes? It seems like if you see a plain Jane 1200 Doo to their (x) model they always compare it to the vector instead of the Nytro. Even in the new American Snowmobiler poll on Facebook they even try to compare a Arctic cat Turbo to a Vector instead of an Apex. Shouldn't it be the Doo 600, the non turbo Cat VS the Vector, the Nytro vs the 1200, and 600 Poo, and the Apex VS the Cat Turbo, or Doo 800? Seems like they do this so everyone can say how heavy our sleds are, and put them in a different handeling class.
Here is an example from today http://www.facebook.com/AmericanSnowmobiler

You answered your own question: M_E_D_I_A!

When do they ever get it right? Especially with such Difficult comparisons!

LOL...OTM

Maybe Fox News or the O' rilley Factor should do a sled comparison. LOL

I am not fortunate to ride all the different sleds from every brand, so sometimes you go to roll the dice.
I never even rode a 4stroke till i bought my own.
A lot of times you don't even ride em before you buy em.

I hardly read the mags or websites anymore because of this. No useful information there unless your talking specs. I remember snowmobile media back in the 80s. The strenghts and weaknesses of each sled were much better presented and writers weren't afraid to be critical.

Fox news, good one!

Imo, these sled forums are the only true/real avenues one should use when deciding to purchase a new or used sled.
Hear right from the horses mouth so to speak, all the good the bad and the ugly then decide, once you have done your homework, which sled to purchase.
