This is the 8JP96 Medium windshield that I have cut down 1.5” on the top and given a slightly more gentle radius on the handlebar wings. I believe that the medium and medium sport windshields are very close in height and the primary difference is the more angular lines of the medium sport. It’s a personal preference but I found the standard medium 8JP96 more appealing.
With the original height I was able to look at the horizon over the top of the windshield but the trail that was 50-75 foot in front of me was of obscured by the black top edge molding. Cutting it down improved my ability to see the trail over the top of the windshield. I am 5’8”. Taller riders may not see the need to cut it down.
The second photo shows the Medium windshield laid over the top of the original MTX bikini windshield for a comparison.
