Mid range misfires-apex 12 se

Between 5000 and 7000 rpms the sled is starting to misfire as I feather the throttle up and won't go away unless I hit it wide open and let off the gas and continue. It runs fine then. It does not always do this but has been happening more the last 500 miles. I run fuel med all the time with premium. Sled has 2000 miles on it. Could it be a bad plug or coil that goes above a spark plug? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

find anything wrong with that sled? my 2011 was doing the same thing but now has got to the point where it runs poorly all the time.
