Might have to wait for 2022

there was a black one at MOM'S in MANCHESTER NH, but I checked their web site yesterday and there wasn't one listed but they do get them in...call..their prices are good. I'd check the NY Yamaha dealers...PORT something or other seems like a big dealer.
Too bad on the color my friend..the red is awesome, I didn't like it at first because of that red color thing and mid-life crisis...screw that the red is just awesome. Joe

you could always wrap it.

Back in 2015 my son had a new viper in blue. So
I went and bought a red one not to copy him. After I got it home and ridden it, I love the color red! Then bought an 18 winder and did not have red. Was bummed out! LOL

I’ve been thoroughly shot down on the red. Been trying to comb through every Yamaha dealer I can find looking for a 2021 not on snowmobile trader or the Yamaha website.
cook her dinner, hand over the remote to the tv for a while, try tons of compliments and put a twinkle in your eye when you look at her an I promise you'll get the red sled lol

Sometimes on a Sunday evening i feel a bit lonely.
Then i call a married friend.
Then i realize why i got divorced.

P.S: The RED is absolutely BEAUTIFUL on the snow!
P.S2: I only joke around about marriage. It's a wonderful institution. I would ride an all PINK sled if that's what my girl allowed me to have!

lol you guys are great. I agree with the comments on red. In fact I told her the reason I like it is because nearly every sled out there is some combination of black. When you are buying the baddest 2up sled in the land, why not have it stick out from the crowd!?

I have one phone call to make this morning on an outside chance. Other than that it will be back to hoping the deal falls through here in Wisconsin. Through last night I checked every dealer online inventory I could find with no luck. Put some emails out to some with a hope and a prayer but everyone I’ve talked to said the sled is going to be hard to locate this year.

why doest the guy from NY get the one on craigslist who has to get it shipped and you get the local one..what's the difference if all the same..both save shipping.
Steve, that was very funny!!

No inventory of sleds drives the prices up even higher then prices the young people out of the market.
Then snowmobiling is dead.

Why even try at this point..... Trails in WI are closed or horrible if open, forecast for the next 2 weeks shows "well above average" temps.... Save a bunch of money and buy one with 50 miles on it in March.

I was going to say there is no snow...not enough in Maine or enough to damage your sled..certainly no grooming yet...Canada is closed to us. There will be snow someday though..maybe this weekend if that new low pressure comes in closer from the Gulf of Maine...can only hope.
1nc makes a good point...low inventory keeps prices high and discourages new people into the sport...no snow makes us all wonder if its worth it.

Well I found one, told them I was ready to go. Told me 20,980 out the door. Keep in mind I was just told 19,400 (forget the change) 7 days ago. I offered them 19,600 and they told me they couldn’t do it... supply and demand and all. Lol so if someone wants to overpay let me know I’ll send you there!

I’m literally over this industry at the moment. So after the fiasco this morning/today about the 20980 out the door... I get a call from another dealership I had called. Apparently the deal fell through and a sled was available! I couldn’t rip my cc out of my pocket fast enough. 18500 out the door. I was was over the top happy. 45 minutes later (after they asked me if I could move up my pick up date of the 16th cuz I’m out of town starting tomorrow) I get a call that they supposedly took deposits from myself and someone else at the same time and regretfully has to sell the sled to the other guy. I’m beyond livid.

Damn.... I'll sell you my brand new T-cat fully TD tuned with 40 miles for $18,000....

wtf...still want black? the price is way over the top and I wouldn't pay it..my buddy bought a 1997 skidoo 660 2up with a rebuilt engine for $200...YES $200..he put a couple of hundred bucks and for less than $500 he's got a running sled with heated grips. Time to tell them to keep their sleds and price gouging. Or...rent a sled this year and wait till next year when people are fed up with this sport getting too expensive and sell their low milage sleds when covid is over.
I saw today on the weather channel the statistics on snowmobile sales..from the high sales in 1997 to sales today, snowmobile sales have dropped 70 percent...yes 70 percent..some due to pricing of sled and some is due to lack of snow...I'm just quoting the Weather Channel this morning..sorry Dude, I know its discouraging...Joe
