I am curious as to how many miles people have on their Grizzlies. Mine just turned over 5,000 miles yesterday and it's an 06.
Any idea how long they last?
I am thinking about an 09 when they come out.

Thanks for the reply Pat. I know what you mean by oil consumption as mine has used oil from the first day I had it. I have changed the oil on mine every 500 miles and it really dosen't matter if the oil is fresh or black it seems to use about a cup every ride. I have put 2300 miles on mine since October and that adds up to a lot of oil.
One of my friends rides a 500 Polaris and he never has to add oil and he changes it every 1200 miles. Another has a 700 Grizzly and he never has to add any oil between changes either.

I swtiched over to Amsoil around 800 km's and it immediately started using oil, I tried 1 more oil change and the same continued. I then switched back to Yamalube and my consumption stopped. I ran it for a few changes and then switched over to Rotella T 5W-40 synthetic and it doesn't use any of that oil either. I ran Amsoil in my truck and it went through it like crazy too, I switched to Mobil-1 synthetic and it never used a drop again either. I have asked many people if they noticed any consumption issues running Amsoil and some said yes and some said no? One guy said he was consumming oil like crazy and then he switched to Amsoil and his consumption stopped? All I know is it is not for me and I will never run it again in any engine I own. I still use their diff fluids and grease without any issues.........Irv
