I am planning to ride from north central iowa to Intenational falls on state trail #37 later this week. How is this trail and is there anything I need to be aware of.

Never heard of that trail. Is it a MN trail? With the warm spell I wouldn't expect much snow in the corners and would expect it would be rough and icy. Have fun and let us know how it goes...

once you get around cook and orr, the trails are pretty good - there's a new trail close to eveleth now so that you don't have to ditch bang to head north.

Thanks for the info. Four of us plan to leave early tomorrow morning hopefully ahead of the freezing rain that is predicted. The trail #37 is shown on the Minn DNR web site as a corridor trail running north and south across the state. When I get into Minnesota I will have to get local maps.

Left Marble Rock Iowa 6:30 on the 20th Excellent riding. Trails were in great shape other than taking a couple of wrong turns where the trails were not labelled the best the day couldn't have went any better. Spent the night in Belle Plaine Minn. Day two just out of Belle Plaine trailing arm Ski Doo hooked a bridge guard rail bending and breaking the left trailing arm loose. Spent several hours back in Belle Plaine getting the Ski Doo straightened and welded. Then the freezing drizzle set in making it misserable. Spent the night in Litchfield Minn. Day three we decided International Falls was not going to happen this trip so we headed west in search of Ski Doo oil for the 600 E-tech that was along. After finding oil in Willmar we hit the ditches heading south in drizzle destination Iowa. Spent the night in Windom Minn. Day four after scraping the ice off our sleds and spending an hour looking for the E-techs teather key we headed south in the rain. By the time we reached Estherville Iowa we were all soaking wet and cold. We stopped at the local VFW to eat and warm up. A nice gentleman at the VFW took our gear to his place and dried them for us. When we left the rain had deminished to drizzle. We made our way for home only to run into dense fog forcing us to spend the night in Algona Iowa. Day five home before noon. The four of us had a great time. The riding was good the weather was bad. International Falls will have wait for another trip.

Sounds liked a journey, bummer you didn't wait a week. Good luck on your next try.
