I was wondering if anyone else was up to the radar runs in Minocqua over the weekend. What a show for the lack of snow. The two fastest sleds were both yamaha power. Dennis from Il. had his new RX1 and his first run was at 136+ and the boys from Sauk city Wi. were there with there custom built sled that kept getting faster. Last run of the day 139+. Thanks to Yamaha of Minocqua for adding to the purse. What better way than to give it to but one fast YAMAHA. Thanks for the great time Cruisers.

I was up there. I missed the 139mph Yami run though. I saw a highly modded Arctic Cat (I think) do 136. Pretty impressive. There was a darn fast SXR700 there. The turbo wine from a fast Yami 4stroke as it went by was awesome! Heavy and slow my ars!

That arctic cat had a YAMAHA 1000CC 4-stroke in it. Those were the boys from Sauk city Wi. It was custom chassis, skin A.C. With a YAMAHA mud flap. Those sleds really rocked.

Well that explains why it sounded like it had a turbo in it when it ripped by in a blur! I figured it was one of those 2 smoke turbos. Good stuff.

Is that One Stop Racings first Yamaha turbo powered sled? The first one was covered with A/C skin.

The OSP sled at Cruiserfest belongs to Ed Miller and Tim Deppe whom also happen to be very good friends of mine. That sled is last years world record holder from the world series. At the world series it went 4.64 and 146 MPH in 660 feet. Since the bought it, they have taken off the nitrous, taken some timing out and turned down the boost. The sled was built for drag racing but they have turned it into a radar sled. Look for much higher MPHs very soon. The sled is a custom tube frame, with a Wahl suspension, Turbocharged 1000 cc Yamaha RX-1 motor with Firecat body skin.
