Good day gentlemen, I got my self a great deal on a 05 Rx-1. And with a new laws in the province this year I have to put rear view mirrors on the darn thing..... So I went to dealer and was going to buy a apex kit to put on Rx-1 when he told me they had some for my rx-1 specific. So I got them. Anyone here know why no one seems to talk a whole lot of the RX-1 mirrors. The apex kit seem to have a bar that solidifies the mirrors while the rx1 screw in the front cabin from what i see with no back bars to screw in. Any advice as to stick with Rx1 or get the Apex. And anyone with experience mounting the rx-1 mirrors?

There are two different mirror set-ups. I installed the ones with the support bracket on both my Vector and 05 Rx Warrior which should be identical to your RX-1. I believe the ones with no support bracket just attach thru the hood with bolts, just not as sturdy, and the mirrors are a different design.

The bug eye kit has a bar you install to make the mirrors more solid. It is the same one for the 05 Venture touring. The ones that bolt to the hood you will not like as you can't see anything with them anyway.
Lot of guys are mounting Cat mirrors on the windshied and they look factory.

Mine bolt to the hood. Not sure if there is a backing plate or not, I would have to look. But, they seem to work fine.......

THERE IS A BACKING PLATE WITH THE REAL RX1 MIRRORS ,AND YOU SEE GOOD WITH THEM.. WINDSHIELD MIRRORS FROM CAT OR BRP MIGHT WORK..
