Has anyone tried to mount Powermadd mirrors (meant for their handguards) directly to an Apex, Attak or Vector windshield? Or has anyone found a small mirror that works well attached to the windshield? I'm just looking for something small that would allow me to catch a glimpse of a headlight behind me, nothing large or pricey like the ones Yamaha offers.

I use one of these on my helmet.

They work surprisingly well. The adhesive is very strong. It hasn't fallen off in 4 years.

Wonder how those would work stuck on to the windshield.

Might work. Might also be a bit too far away.

Wasn't there an OEM mirror set-up which attached to the windshield on some of the Venture touring models. Has anyone tried these?

I did that on my Apex. I made wedges of a rubber mallet to make them sit at a good angle. Worked pretty good.

Send a PM to Viper7MI. He just added the Powermadd mirrors to his Powermadd hand guards on his Attak. Oops, I just reread your post so this is not going to help since his mirrors are mounted to the handguards. Sorry. I thought you were asking about clearance to the windy G.B.

Why not install the handguards with the mirror kit? I have them on mine and they work great for exactly what you need. They look good as well, not oversized as some are. Attached to the windshield they may not be in a great position for rear view.

I had handguards installed one season, I just don't like them.
