There are a couple different styles offered from Yamaha.
1. Venture Mirrors
2. Reg Mirror kit
3. and what they are calling "trail custom touring kit" which looks like wind deflectors with a mirror mounted inside. Anyone familiar with these? Little extra wind protection wouldn't be a bad thing.

I'm using the powermadd mirrors on the handguards. They work great if you also want handguards.

As far as the mirrors listed go the Venture style is by far the most functional. The spot they are located in allows you to easily see the mirrors without having to look down to find the mirrors like the other two styles listed do. They also give the best view behind you out of the three. If you have more questions about them feel free to give me a call as we have installed plenty of all the styles above.

I had the venture mirrors attached to my new 06 Vector at the dealer at the time of purchase and don't like them a bit. I also talked to several others with them and we all have the same problem. When you are seated and driving they are hidden behind your handle bars or almost hidden and also do not adjust properly as the hood is formed differently. Now that I installed power-mad hand guards I may as well chuck them as they are only ornaments. I am looking for a set of power-madd mirrors. I have attached a photo and you can see how they are situated

I got mine from high perfomance. Here'a the link to their page if you want it. Might save you some time looking. You'll love them.

canadian lad, you don't have venture mirrors on your sled. the venture mirrors mount high like the ski-doo gsx. the high mirrors are fantastic.

Have Venture mirrors on my 06 Rage and like them. Mounted high so you can see behind without moving arms up or down. And there is very little vibration so when you look to see who is behind you they are not blurry.

If you don't want your sled to look like a martian with antenna stiking up, I would buy the wind deflector kit. You may not be able to see a gret deal, but you can pick out the headlight behind you, day or night. Also you can have the kit painted to match your sled, and it looks like it grew there. It offers extra wind protection on your knees and legs withouth detracting from the sleak looks of the sled..............................I agree the most functional ones are the venture ones, but they look like an old set of rabbit ears on a 1960 tv set........ Many of us dont admit it, but looks do count......

i have always used one of those cheap 10 dollar hand mirrors... they work nice, go with you where ever u go..... and u dont look like a martian.....
u get so used to using it, you dont even notice you bring ur hand up to check..... in fact the few times i have been riding without mine, i catch myself raising my hand to look at my..... glove... i guess.....

I started using a hand mirror last year and they work great. I use to install mirrors on my sleds, but no more. Buy a hand mirror and try it, you will like it.

I just installed a set of power-madd mirrors. Took 10 minutes (already had the guards on as I wanted the extra wind protection) They look great and are more than adequate for doing the job. The only problem will be they turn with the bars so you will not have a few at all times behind you but then again you are not always looking in them.
