Has anyone come up with a better set of mirrors besides the ones that Yamaha offer. I would like a pair that you could mount to the handlebars
with a longer stem so that you would have good vision. Would like to see them in Black.

I have tried several handle bar types on my Apex and Vector, Motorcycle, Yamaha sno and have found the Polaris to be the best. Black in color and the longest reach. Not inexpensive, nor were the Yamaha's.
iasledder. Can you tell me which handlebar mirrors from polaris worked
the best for you. I looked at their website & the only snowmobile mirror
I see is a handlebar mount, which I don't think will mount on the handlebar
of my 2011 Vector. Is there other mirrors that mount on the handlebars
from polaris used for multi-purpose situations.
Thanks in advance.

The ones I use are for the Polaris IQ model, got them from my dealer. They fit inboard of the controls with the mirror post, U clamp and attaching nut mounted towards the rear of the sled. As I recall getting them place wasn't the greatest fun of the day, especially since I use gauntlets. I have them both on my '10 Vector LT and wife's 08 POO 600 IQ LX. The Polaris Item #: 2876297 should be the correct part.
I got a set of black rectangular motorcycle mirrors from Dennis Kirk, around $10 for the pair, but the reach is too short. The horizontal stem could be cut and an extension brazed in to lengthen the reach. Chose not to coble.
Good luck with your project. To me mirrors are a must.

I agree, the mirrors are a must, I would not ride without them. I did look at all of Dennis Kirk's mirrors 300 of them. I work in a machine shop so I also thought of cutting the stem & making a longer extension. I will look at the Polaris mirrors & thanks for the information it was very helpful.

I saw a guy on trail with a mirror-on-a-glove. Not sure where he found that, anyone know?

Dennis Kirk has the glove mirrors. That is what I use and I love it!

X 2. I have the Powermadd handguards, with mirrors also, but the glove mirror gives you a bigger an better view, for me anyway.

For my Apex I used the Yamaha nytro hand guard and mirror kit expensive but works well, on the Venture GT the mirrors are great.
