I still have a completely stock front end on my APEX. What holes to i need to plug or cover with mesh so she will handle some deep powder.

I have SLP powder pro skis, ZX-2 144 rear skid with 144x2x16 track. Also 5" risers and a ulmer clutch kit with adjustable front weights.

I've heard you actually want to open more holes in the front end to let more air in and cool her down, especially clutches for better powder performance.....

Just what I've heard. I've also seen kits from Timbersled where you cut holes in the front and and install prefilter material.

When i have been in the Powder in the past i have had the cavity in the front pack up full with snow and ice. I have also had the front side vents plug solid with ice from melted powder.
