Likely a broken wire. Very common.

If it won’t select grips either it could be the cluster itself, ecu, ground blocks......
Use the search function and start reading.

Wasn't having much luck searching. Posts referring to wires broken, or bad solenoid... Any ideas for search words? No results on ECU, or ground block pertaining to mode selector...

First place I would start is with the rocker switch itself, if you can get into it to check the contacts etc.

The rocker seems to work fine, controls grips up or down... Just no response from mode button. Last time I used it I left it on grips. Cannot see any damage to wire at shock, it did have a big ice chunk hanging from wire. Thawing it out now for a better look...

my 2006 apex gt did this ,the wires were ripped off by ice and must have shorted to them selves or ground
after fixing the shock wiring. it still didnt work
i swaped ecu with my other apex er (no electric shock) and it worked fine
it must have burnt out the shock driver circuit
