Hello, I have just bought a RS Vector ER -2005 and i have now afterwards discovered some cracks in the rails.
I wonder if someone on this sight have converted the RS Vector with a complete RCG slide rail suspension. (I dont know the real English word of it)
The Yamaha original RS90R Pro Action is not the best due to slippering drive wheels or burned slides if you tighten the belt.
Thanks in advance! BR, Ersketi

Not really sure what you are asking, but I will say this. I had rail cracking issues on my 05 stock Vector suspension, as well as broken H-arms and the usual. Smartest thing I ever did was slide the suspension from the old-school Nytro under the sled. 10 times the suspension. Direct swap. Think I bought it from someone here for around $5-600, don't really remember.

The Vec. ProActive and Rs Nytro suspension are the same other than spring rates and clicker raer shock. Same issues either way.

Stubby is right! They are the same but the clicker shock and stiffer springs helped in a big way. Also welding some gussets on the w-arm is also a good idea.

Hi,
I have now swapped to a 136" RCG (Lynx Racing) and i´m totally owerwhelmed.
The machine feels really nice and the skis will now raise when I press on the throttle.
What a machine. I dont think those unconnected RCG´s with coil over in the back is avalible in the states.
Lynx is a BRP product Made In Finland.

Looks good, and it looks like a very basic suspension.
Glad to hear it works well.

BRP RCG Suspension
I think the oposite of basic is more correct on the RCG suspension. This type of suspension is made for ruff conditions like Scooter Cross and the geometrical properties are much better than Yamaha, Ski-Doo, Polaris and A-C.
Have you ever heard of Pauli Pippola Suspension called PPS? That´s also one of Lynx suspension and RCG (Racing) is the precursor to the PPS.
See enclosed picture of a short 121" RCG where you can see the design of the unleashed suspension for the best weight shift. The machine feels lighter in the front and the skis will lift a little bit at the throttle without
I think Ski-Doo shall use Lynx suspension in their machines. The best suspension in the world.
Fun with a bit discussion around this..Irv said:Looks good, and it looks like a very basic suspension.

I think you need to think about getting a tunnel extension on there before you rip that nice new snow flap and mount bracket off.

Interesting suspensions, wish I had the opportunity to try them!

Tunnel Extension
Yes, thoughts exist but the new snow flap is pretty stiff, so I think it will work fine. Yamaha original extension like on the Rage is not very nice so in that case it becomes a custom-made.
I like the rough look in the the rear . Looks a bit silly with 121" standard Yamaha rail. I made a full test yesterday and everything works like a dream. The skis touching a bit at full throttle and then it goes down just like it shall be. :rules Now I have picked the best parts and assembled it to a dream machine. The Genesis 120 is a reaaly nice engine. \\Ersketi//
