Has anyone tried to loosen the locking collar on the control rod on the new Mono-shock suspension? After having the 04 Warrior, I know that yamaha has all its fastners. screws, and nuts on real tight, but trying to loosen up the locking collar on the control rod was just plain stupid. I had to take off the two idler wheels so I could get a hugh pipe wrench aroung the collar, and then put a large leverage pipe on the pipe wrench handle before I could get it loose. Of course I sratched it all up. The spaner wrench was useless.

Guess I was lucky. Was able to move mine with the wrenches supplied.

I was told by Yamaha that you need to take a flat punch and brake it loose and put some good spray lube on it and only snug it with the wrenches provided.
