Anybody know if I could take a monoshock skid from a '06-07 Rage and put it into an '05 Rage? If so how much modifications would it take and how hard would it be?

Then the question is.........does anyone have a 136" monoshock skid out of a 06 Rage for sale?

:4STroke:

no you cannot unless you put a monoshock rear suspension in your 05...i know there is one forsale in the classifieds section from an attak...but not sure how much.

well if you happen to find a 136" monoshock suspension it would fit, except you would have to relocate the holes from where the suspension attaches to the tunnel...hardly any modifications at all...you just need to know where the new holes need to be located on the tunnel so you dont offset the entire suspension. if you happen to put a monoshock suspension in, i would also imagine you would need to reinforce the tunnel somehow since the stock suspension bolts have a little U shaped channel to where the axle sits in place

Has anyone out there done a modification like this? If so do you know what the critical measurements are? Also, could a person use a 136" monoshock out of an Attack or a Rage; or would it have to come out of a Rage?

it could come out of an attak or a rage it wouldnt matter....im sure somone on here has done a susp. swap..i know Oak Hill has done a swap on his vector...maybe contact him and see where he got the measurements from

sell your sled and buy the sled you want.
I know of several available in SE wis. try rockriver power sports in Jefferson, WI.
they had 30 to 40 new and used 06 yammies back in April.

I don't really need a new one.....mine is basically brand new only 800 miles on it. The only major difference between my '05 and a '06 or '07 is the monoshock skidframe. So if I can get a good deal on one that someone has taken out of their sled I can put it in mine and have a new "06" except it is a '05.

Plus part of the fun of it is making a snowmobile "my own" sled and making it different from someone else's. Which is part of the fun of this sport is seeing what everyone has done to their sled. :bling

Now don't get me wrong.....I have deffinately thought about trading up to a newer model year or maybe an Attack but I have only had this one for a year would like to play with it some more. I was just curious if anyone out there has done a mod like this and what insights they had on it. ;)!

How do you figure I seen mono's go for 500.00 already. You just have to take the measurments off of the holes on a mono sled and then measure everything on your and mount it up.You have to do precise measuring but it's not that heard I'm doing a swap myselff right now it's not a mono though.
